Reading the Latest Gossip to my Shoe

Well, I'd like to write more exciting adventurous stuff for you all to read, but to be honest, it was mostly too hot to do much more than hang out at the pool. We did have one perfect summer day, when we hung out at the outdoor pool ALL DAY. We had a picnic dinner in the cool grass under a big tree (D even gave in to having potato salad). We all actually fell asleep under the tree. After our naps we had strawberry shortcake. Then we played my new word game Smart Mouth. Do you know a word that begins with O and ends with O? If you do leave a comment and the word has to be at least four letters long. Anyways we played the game and drank cool and refreshing drinks till late at night when it was finally cool enough to sleep.

Friday: We went to a lake A insisted that we had to go. The lake was in Gatineau Park in Quebec. A forgot the camera. We stopped for lunch in an old train station in Wakefield. A decided that a burger and soup wasn't enough for lunch so he decided to eat his doiley. He ate about a quarter of it befor he decided he was full.

Saturday: We went to the Lebanese Festival. There were'nt many people there, but we had fun and enjoyed good food. They were raising money for aid to Lebanon and we thought they could use our support.

Getting my face painted at the Lebanese Festival.

Tamika's Revenge

Sunday: We went to the Byward Market. If you're ever in Ottawa in the summer Sunday afternoon at the market is a must do.

Coffee and hot chocolate!

Berries, berries, berries!

Flowers, flowers, flowers!

Don't forget to stop and smell the roses.

Check out my great new tatoo that I got at the market!

Catching up on the gossip with my cool new shoe and my cool new sock.

Thats it for now. You will have to check tomorrow to read more.

Great lakes and other stuff

So I said I'd tell you about the ride home. First it was hot and humid so we decided to just head home. We were making good time until A decided to see the sand dunes and add another two hours of driving. After we paid 12$ to get into the park, we were all grumpy, hungry and hot. After all that driving and complaining I sort of forgot to notice the sand dunes. The only food at the beach was hamburgers and hotdogs which we had our fill of at Wonderland so we stuck our toes in the water and left for the quaint little town of Picton which D remembered fondly from her childhood many many years ago. Now let ME tell you about Picton. Mcdonalds, KFC, Wendy's( by the way this town is only around three streets big) which we could of got on the highway two hours ago. So after driving up and down EVERY street 4 times, I finally spot a restaurant. The chicken wraps were good but definitely not wourth the drive. If I had to rate the town out of ten it would get a 3.

I did learn that Lake Ontario is one of the Great Lakes and I did get to stick my toe in it. It was really, really, really warm. You can check out the sand dunes yourself at http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/sand.html

Monday I started swimming lessons at the University. I have a private instructor named S. She taught me how to dive off the diving board. She's really cool and nice, and she's only 16. I'm almost as tall as she is and I thought I was short. I'm doing really good. Started at level three and I already Passed level 5. So I'm going for another week.YAY.

Tuesday: We went go karting at karters korner. Theres not much to say. We went around a track. I'm taller than I was last year.

Here's moi in the middle of the road:

It's getting late, so I'll write again tomorrow.

Been a While...

It's been a while, but we have been busy. Also, my photographers have been slacking off lately; forgetting the camera, getting dizzy trying to follow me around on rides.

First up, getting up at 6:00 am to drive 5 hours to Wonderland totally sucked. Decided to stick to the gentle rides for the first day (kiddy ride but don't tell anyone).

Ok, you all know that I've outgrown spongebob squarepants. Right? However, I must admit the 3D movie was pretty cool. The chairs moved in sync with the movie. D was wobbling after and could'nt go on the moving chairs in the second movie which wasn't 3D.

Day 2: Torrential downpour, slack photographers. Had to go to plan B. Ontario Science Museum, along with every other kid in Toronto. The Grossology exhibit sure was gross. Played tennis in the rain and got soaked. We sucked, fun anyways. Swimming in the pool and fast food saved the day. LOL.

Day 3: Wild rides, lots of water and the toilet.

Warming up with a few acrobatic stunts. Thrilled the crowd(D & A)!

HOLY CRAP!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Actually loved this ride.
Really it's pizza cheese. Trust me, it really, really, really, really is pizza cheese, I think.
Ok back to the toilet. We went to the water park. Awesome rides and lucky for us it was nice and hot. It was really refreshing. Too hot for the photographers I guess.
Now let me tell you how A & I got flushed down the toilet. There's two lines. First there's the line to get the double tube, then there's the line to actually go on the ride. In case you're wondering the line took a half an hour. Ok so we finally get the tubes then we start climbing the stairs but only to find a half an hour of waiting ahead of us. The worst thing was A made ME carry the tube up ALL 300 steps. So we finally get up to the top and OMG! What were we thinking? We finally start getting in the tube and in 5 seconds were both screaming our heads off like maniacs! You shoot down a drop off slide(I'm sitting in front so I'm way more scared, so I think), spin into a gigantic toilet bowl. You spin around and around the bowl waiting to get flushed, but when you don't expect it you shoot down another tube really, really fast screaming your brains out. Before you can count to one you woosh out the tube into a pool. Then you sit in your tube with shock and excitment and getting ready for more.
I think that will give you alot to think about for now so i'll write again soon. Maybe I'll tell you about the ride home, but you will have to wait.

Movie Review and other stuff

Loved the movie - Pirates of the Caribbean. We give it **** out of ****, all 8 of us. Yes, there was 8 of us - Thanks to J for getting seats early for all of us. All the kids went kind of wack, acutally the adults were a bit wacked themselves. Had fun. You should go. Be prepared for the sudden, unexpected, dramatic ending, that I thought sucked, but I got over it. Took about a day, but once I learned that there is another...., don't want to give it away.

On a completely different note, check out my new pony. lol. Don't know where we're going to keep it Dad. But I have faith in you, that you'll figure out something. Not sure what the cost of shipping him will be, send extra money for airfare, please. Some hay would be good.

His name is King, by the way.
Off to Canada's Wonderland, bright and early tomorrow am. Will post from there, unless of course I'm too busy having fun on the rides and at the water park, then I'll have to post when we return. ~Kiddo

Busy Bees in the Big O!

We've been busy here in the big O. First up, Canada Day.

For some strange reason, there was a bit of a Hippie theme. like it's the 60's again... man.

Oh ya, C came to the hill with us. Groovy, man.

Waited 45 minutes in hot, hot, hot line to fly high in a Snowbird cockpit. It was totally worth it, man.

The line for the training Hawk cockpit was considerably shorter, right on, man.

We really liked groovin' to the tunes on parliament hill and the Snowbird fly over was far out. Later, we watched cool fireworks and had a bonfire in the pouring rain. Wet Marshmallows, yum.

Next up, C's Grandma's birthday BBQ. We all got to blow out candles.

Don't I look Fab!

We played football and I scored two huge touchdowns!

Next up, shopping. Kind of got trapped by a huge storm. Had to shop more, until the storm stopped. No pics, but check out my great pink camo hat. Love, love, love it.

Kayaking. Managed to make it most of the way down the canal. Was really windy. It was fun, but would like to try it on a calmer day. You do get wet!

Ahhh, well deserved refreshments.

Yesterday, I rode my bike 10K! Rode to the Experimental farm; saw lots of cow butts, Mooo.

Butts, Butts, and more Butts. Oh and a few tongues.

Did you know, if you scratch a calf under their chin, they will reward you with a great big, wet, sloberry lick? I wouldn't recommend it more than once.

And of course, my favourite big O activity...

Been in the pool, either outdoor or indoor, everyday except one. Despite my pleading, begging and nagging. Guess I wore the adults out.

Tonight we are off to see Pirates of the Cribbean. Check back for our movie review tomorrow.

Keep on truckin' man! ~ Kiddo
